Das ideale Brennholz
Wie lange, wie effektiv und wie eindrucksvoll das Feuer in einem Kaminofen brennt, hängt ganz entscheidend von dem Brennholz ab, das für den Kaminofen verwendet wird.
Nur richtig abgelagertes Holz brennt auch gut.
Zu frisches Holz enthält noch Feuchtigkeit und erzeugt daher zu viel Rauch.
Überlagertes Holz verliert seinen Heizwert.
Brennholz sollte trocken und luftig wie möglich gelagert werden. Am besten auf einer luftdurchlässigen Unterlage in einem überdachten, regenschützenden Unterstand.
